Barclays LifeSkills is divided into three modules: People, Work, and Money Skills. As the teacher you can decide which would be most beneficial to your students and how best to deliver, for example in lessons, as facilitated workshops or as self-directed online learning by students:
- People Skills is available to 11-16 year olds to develop the key skills sought by employers, including self-awareness, self-confidence and personal presentation.
- Work Skills is for 11-19 year olds helps students embark on their career journey, developing their knowledge and understanding of career paths open to them.
- Money Skills for 11-16 year olds educates students on how to make effective decisions around spending and saving as well as planning.
Students aged 14-17 who complete two hours of each module (Work, People and Money Skills) can then access through their teacher a huge range of high quality work experience across a spectrum of employers, from energy providers, insurance firms, construction companies, to retailers, caterers or ICT businesses.
